There are two major laws affecting FAL assembly: the 1989 import ban and the 1994 "assault rifle [sic] ban." Please familiarize yourself with these laws before begining by reading Text of Relevant Laws.
You can build a fine "post-ban compliant" rifle, by replacing the flash hider with a permanently attached muzzle control device or fake flash supressor and substituting a number of imported parts with the identical part from a US company. To insure customer satisfaction, ARS prefers to work with Imbel (Brazil), DGFM-FMAP (Argentine), other licensed FN receivers, DSA , or the FAC receiver by Coonan. ARS will not work on the low quality products from Hesse Arms, Olympic Arms, aluminum Willams Arms Company Receivers, or DPMS. If you are one of the many people stuck with an Entre'prise receiver and no longer wish to deal with Entre'prise over it, call us with your symptoms and we'll see if its cost effective to repair it, or if replacing might be a better option. StG-58 and L1A1 parts kits are available from a variety of vendors, and US made parts kits are available from First Son Enterprises, DSA , ARS, and a few select other vendors. Specific custom parts such as stocks and grips are availalbe from vendors on our links page. ARS carries quality US parts for inch or metric pattern rifles.

Complete Rifles for Sale ARS complete FN-FAL rifles are crafted utilizing a new Brizilian military production Type III metric receiver (Imbel), excellent condition Belgium or Austrian parts with flawless Austrian or Brazilian barrels and the highest quality US parts (usually FSE). Rifles are refinished with a dark gray military "Parkerized" finish, with all matching numbers, and testfired for function. Rifles come with two 20 round magazines, a 130 page operator/armorer manual, and a lockable Doscacil plastic shipping case. $25 shipping, handling, and insurance per rifle. All rifles are in compliance with the 1989 import ban and the 1994 "assault weapons" ban and include a letter identifying points of compliance with ATF regulations.
